Education & outreach for schools & teachers

Hundreds of students from high schools, home schools, and colleges throughout Vermont and greater New England are served each year by our School Matinee program. These special fall performances are made available to school groups at subsidized prices and are further enhanced by accompanying study guides and post-show discussions. SCHOOL MATINEES

The 2022 School Matinee production will be Woody Sez: The Life & Music of Woody Guthrie with performances on Tuesdays: October 4, 11, and 18 at 10am and Wednesdays October 5, 12, and 19 at 10am.

This playwriting residency program is for English, theater, and creative writing students in grades 6-12. Over the course of three two-hour-long sessions, a teaching artist guides students through the writing process, focusing on idea generation, dramatic structure, and revision. SPRING PLAYWRIGHTS PROGRAM

Each participant finishes the program having written an original ten- minute play, and select pieces are performed at the annual Spring Playwrights Festival at Weston’s Walker Farm.
