M essage from the V ermont S tage B oard of D irectors
The return of arts and entertainment has never mattered more. The arts bring communities together. They raise our spirits and open our minds. We are thrilled to welcome you to the 2022 Ver- mont Stage Season. Contemporary theater tells the stories we are living now, whether it is a romance, a comedy, or the wild ride of a global pandemic. We are grateful to have you back in your seats and willing to take these next steps with us. This year’s program at Vermont Stage is bold. We are returning to our home at Main Street Landing which has been our steady
partner throughout the pandemic. We will kick off the with The Thin Place which will boggle your mind as well as your senses as we create an intimate séance to bring you to the edge of the other world.. Next up is Annapurna , a story about enduring love across the decades. Then on to The Lifespan of a Fact which is based on a true story. Finally, take one play, carve it up three ways and you’ve got The Bake Off! This returning favorite will bring us right to summer. Thanks to all of your support and great reviews last year, we will have another outdoor summer show. Safety is everyone’s top concern when deciding to go out. Our Board has taken the pandemic seriously and has followed industry standards to keep our audiences, actors, designers, and technical staff safe. Vaccines and masks are required for all shows. No one can promise what the future holds, but we are doing everything we can to bring you back with care and thoughtfulness. We know that you make entertainment choices and thank you for choosing Ver- mont Stage. We count on our audience for support, and ticket sales fund only about 50% of the budget. If you have not done so already, we hope that you will consider making a gift to this year’s Annual Fund by clicking https://www.vermont- stage.org/donate.html. Please share your thoughts with us anytime or volunteer by contacting us at: vt- stage@vtstage.org or 802-862-1497. Enjoy the show!
